erden check runs on your machine
The first usable piece of Erden is a command-line tool. It runs on your own machine, before any registry exists.
erden init
erden check
erden check loads a Turtle project from a strict, versioned manifest, reasons over it, validates the result with SHACL and runs its competency questions as SPARQL queries.
A pinned reasoner
The reasoner is written in Rust and ships bundled with the tool. It's pinned and integrity-checked, sits behind a versioned process protocol, and has to pass a known-answer qualification suite. For now, builds exist for Linux and Windows.
Pinning matters because a check result is only evidence if you can say exactly what produced it. The server side is designed to use the same reasoner through the same protocol, so publishing repeats the same check rather than a different one.
What's next
An ontology that can't build on other ontologies isn't much of a package, so dependencies are next: add, install and a lockfile.
