What broke when I checked real ontologies
Small demo projects are forgiving. A publish dry run with real domain models this month was not.
Erden only read Turtle, so complete upstream files from standards bodies were refused outright. The reasoner ran out of its fixed time budget on small projects with instances. Some error messages told you something was wrong and little else. There was no arm64 or macOS build.
Here's what has changed since.
More input formats
erden check now accepts RDF/XML, JSON-LD and N-Triples as well as Turtle, all through one source path.
Diagnostics that point at the problem
When a statement falls outside what Erden can reason over, the diagnostic now gives you the file, line and column, and names the exact OWL 2 construct, such as ObjectSomeValuesFrom or DisjointClasses, instead of one shared label for everything.
erden check also accepts logic-free annotations such as owl:versionIRI and rdfs:seeAlso. They never reach the reasoner, so they don't change what gets concluded.
A new reasoner, on more platforms
Reasoner 0.2.0 comes with a new version of the proof checker. It's built for Linux x64 and arm64, Windows x64 and macOS arm64.
What's still open
Erden still reasons over a documented part of OWL, not all of it. This round was a useful reminder that I can't choose what to extend next by guessing. That should come from the ontologies people actually maintain, and the way to get those is to start working with the people who maintain them.
