Applications open for research and design partners
erden.sh now explains what Erden is and how publishing works. It also leads to a working note and an application form for research and design partners.
The hosted registry is invite-only for now, and this is how the invitations start. I wrote more about why in the announcement post.
What the form asks
- About you: name, work email, position and an optional profile URL, such as ORCID or Google Scholar.
- Your affiliation: institution or organization, department or lab, and country.
- Which workflows interest you: releasing with evidence, reviewing a change, reusing across organizations, or a model proposing while validators decide.
- What you'd bring: an ontology you maintain, one you depend on, a course you teach, or an experiment. "Not sure yet" is a perfectly good answer.
There's also a checkbox for access to the AI agent interface, which is built on the Model Context Protocol and off by default during evaluation. Those requests decide when it gets turned on for partners.
I read every request myself and reply personally. Nobody gets added to a mailing list.
What comes next
Partners get hosted evaluation builds to use on their own material. From there, the ontologies they bring set the priorities for which OWL constructs the reasoner covers next, and their experience will shape what the registry needs before it can open more widely.
